Your Impact:

As a Senior Buyer you are responsible for ensuring the smooth and cost-effective flow of our products by leading specific sourcing strategies, cost reduction and supply.

The Essential Functions:

  • Prepares and processes purchase orders and requisitions for materials, supplies, and equipment.

  • Develops effective sourcing strategy for assigned items that reduce cost, secure supply, and minimize supply chain disruptions

  • Assesses current material availability; reasonably predicts future availability based on the market, delivery systems, and other variables.

  • Identifies trends in markets that will affect availability, quality, and cost of raw materials.

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, production, and stockroom, to forecast inventory needs and ensure timely availability of materials and finished goods.

  • Works with accounting to maintain accurate costing, analyze and correct errors related to purchase orders, billing, costing

  • Analyzes inventory-related data and generate reports to provide insights on inventory performance, trends, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Develop strong relationships with suppliers in addition to, evaluating and reporting on supplier performance.

  • Researches potential new sources of supply for current stocked items and provide options of supply for new items.

  • Other tasks assigned by management.

  • Follows all DG safety procedures as per company policies.

What you will need:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.

• Proven experience (4 years) in supply chain or procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment

• Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, methods, and best practices

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data set

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Proficient in using inventory management software and systems, preferably Oracle

• Knowledge of regulatory compliance and safety standards related to inventory control is advantageous.
