Medtronic Senior Financial Analyst - PH - Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid or Remote within US) in Fridley, Minnesota

This position will provide strategic financial planning, forecasting and analysis of the US Pelvic Health therapy and will work closely with key stakeholders across Sales Leadership, Sales Finance and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). You will work on projects developing standards and deploying solutions with a lens towards harmonization/standardization, sustainability, and optimization. You will become a functional expert with the ability to work across multiple operating units. This position reports to the Senior Finance Manager, US Pelvic Health Sales Finance.

Location: Hybrid in Minneapolis, MN or Remote

A Day in the Life

  • Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform FP&A duties for US Pelvic Health Sales Leadership and Sales Force including:

  • Analytical support of national and regional sales initiatives including competitive analysis, account penetration and opportunity assessment

  • Development and maintenance of annual sales quotas

  • Measurement & analysis of territory, district and regional performance against quotas, competition, and historical performance

  • Collaborate on creation of annual Sales Force expense budgets and provide ongoing research and analysis.

  • Support of sales account administration/realignments to enable sales force performance management.

  • Assist in Field inventory management initiatives.

  • Leverage insights to make continuous improvement recommendations and implement approved actions.

  • Ad hoc analysis as needed.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required with minimum of 4+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting in Medical device or regulated industry

  • OR Advanced Degree with minimum of 2+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting Medical device or regulated industry

Nice to Have

  • Strong business acumen: ability to learn/understand the business and influence key stakeholders at various management levels to drive and increase value to the organization.

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify key trends and drivers and the proven experience translating financial data into meaningful, concise information.

  • Ability to effectively and efficiently utilize systems/data to provide insightful analysis and implement recommendations.

  • Demonstrate a high level of initiative and self-motivation. Ability to work independently, possess critical, excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle ambiguity in an unstructured environment.

  • Experience in a fast paced high-technology environment, preferably in the medical device industry.

  • Proven experience with financial planning and reporting functions and developing financial analytics that deliver solid business performance.

  • Experience with projects that require high matrix collaboration, building relationships and influence.

  • Ability to work well under pressure.

  • Tactful, exercises independent judgment and discretion.

  • Intellectual agility and ability to learn fast.

  • Systems experience with SAP, Essbase/Hyperion & Business Objects.

  • Experience with Essbase/Hyperion strongly preferred.

  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) work experience preferred.
