Job Description:
This position within the University Bursar is located in the CFO Division, it is responsible for managing the Third Party Contracts team. The Third Party Contracts team coordinates and processes student and sponsor contracts/transactions, including Florida Prepaid and Veteran Benefits. This position supervises the day to day operations of the Third Party Contracts Team, provides leadership and support to team members, assists management in monitoring the effectiveness of processes within the Third Party Contracts team, and assists in implementing process improvement initiatives.

The incumbent is responsible to ensure high levels of performance, achievement of goals, and quality of results through team members. They will lead by example and create an environment that fosters process efficiency and effectiveness through encouraging ideas for process change. The successful candidate will monitor work allocation, evaluates employee performance, makes recommendations for personnel actions, as well as motivate staff to achieve peak productivity and performance. They will provide leadership to department employees to include, but not limited to, coaching, staff development, evaluations, managing workflows, and enforcing policies and procedures.
This position oversees Third Party Contracts processes which includes billing, verifying and processing payments. They will submit invoices to sponsors for payments and when payments are received, initiates the processing and recording of payments to the corporate accounts.
The incumbent assists the Accounting Manager in analyzing and evaluating business processes and recommending actions to streamline processes and improve operational efficiencies.
This position is responsible in fostering a customer service-based environment which includes resolving complex customer disputes and answers questions related to Student Success operations.
Initiates refunds to third-party sponsors and students as required.
Assists with investigating and resolving discrepancies and credit balances on the third-party corporate accounts. As well as assists in establishing new Third Party Sponsorships, including corporate sponsorships.
Expected Salary:
$55,000 - $65,000 annually; commensurate with education and experience.
Minimum Requirements:
Master's degree in appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience or a bachelor's degree in appropriate areas of specialization and four years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
This position must be proficient in Microsoft Office
Ability to work and maintain effective working relationships with others
Understand, interpret, and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures
Effectively communicate in writing and orally
Complete work according to scheduled deadlines
Work with limited supervision
Utilize problem solving techniques and to work independently
