VCA Kaneohe Animal Hospital located in Kaneohe, Hawaii is seeking a talented Registered Veterinary Technician to join and lead the technical team as a Technician Supervisor.

Require ments : Must have a current veterinary technician license in the state or Hawaii, or eligible to transfer/obtain a license in Hawaii. Minimum of 5 years’ experience preferred. Must possess skills in veterinary emergency and critical care nursing; organization and planning; verbal, written, and presentation communication skills; veterinary leadership, management. and supervision; and problem solving.

Schedule: 4/10’s - Shifts range throughout the week, fulfill a forty (40) hour work week on days that are based on the needs of the hospital.

Closing (730p) and weekend availability is a requirement.

Compensation: This position pays $26.00 - $28.00 per hour, dependent on experience, education, certification, etc.

This position is a working supervisory position, which is responsible for the leadership and the supervision of our technical staff. In the supervisor role, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

· Directing workflow on the floor

· Help with the interview process for potential new hires

· Technician Scheduling

· Assists in staffing and coverage where needed

· Assists in the educational development of technicians and their skills

· Assists in basic protocol and standard procedure training

· Provide opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience

· Mentoring technicians within the department

· Working with department doctors to develop protocols to improve the service

· Ensure that VCA polices, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff.
