Meta EU Content Regulatory Obligations Manager, European Content Integrity Compliance in London, United Kingdom

Summary:

The European Integrity Compliance Office is looking for an experienced Manager to design, build, own and drive business processes and compliance-related projects specific to the European region’s content regulations with a specific focus on regulatory obligations - to include horizon scanning, regulatory readiness and regulator engagement. You will report directly to the Head of Function, supporting the unification, maturation and evolution of these compliance domains, into a new pillar, with a particular focus in the short term, on these domains under the requirements of the Online Safety Act and the Digital Services Act. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of integrity risks and controls on Meta’s platforms and surface areas, in addition to understanding how the oversight and execution of these domains is particularly important for Meta’s governance, for reporting responsibilities to independent auditors, to Meta leadership, Compliance Offices and/or Boards of Directors in addition to external parties including regulators. This role requires deep knowledge of the key deliverables associated with evolving global content regulations, deep experience in operating in highly regulated environments, and the ability to communicate effectively and consistently with a multitude of stakeholders, with a particular focus on engaging with regulators in a rapidly changing environment.

Required Skills:

EU Content Regulatory Obligations Manager, European Content Integrity Compliance Responsibilities:

  1. Report directly to the Head of Function/ DSA Compliance Officer, supporting the design, build, ownership and iteration of this key compliance domain with respect to european content regulations

  2. In partnership with XFNs, horizon scanning with a particular focus on existing/upstream regulation that may intersect/overlap with current content regulations

  3. CO POC for regulatory RFI engagement, to include collaboration with the wider RFI XFN, and consulting on behalf of the statutory office

  4. CO lead for regulatory engagement to include regulatory meetings, and regulatory reporting

  5. CO lead for regulatory investigations, inspections, enforcement management

  6. In partnership with other pillar leads within the CO, and GRC teams, own and provide pillar level inputs into wider corporate governance requirements - including quarterly updates to MPIL Board, oversee the maturation of the integrity control library to include change management, controls monitoring and control expansion

  7. Build relationships and interface closely with a diverse set of Legal, Risk, and Compliance partners, subject matter experts, internal control partners and/or first line risk management professionals

  1. 7+ years of experience in compliance & regulatory affairs/engagement

  2. Experience with design, development, implementation of and working within compliance strategies, governance, and frameworks within a global company

  3. Deep interpersonal experience in interfacing with all levels of partners and stakeholders

  4. Deep experience liaising with internal and external audiences such as regulators and/or auditors, including locally and at a regional level

  5. Experience in Legal and Compliance related programs or Internal Audit with specific subject matter expertise and a business understanding of risks, controls, and issues within content regulation

  6. Interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach to solving problems

  7. Analytical thinking experience with an outcome-based approach and prioritization experience to deliver on time while juggling numerous responsibilities
