As we continue to grow and expand our operations, we are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Supervisor to join our finance team within the Accessories Group.

As the Accounting Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting processes while managing one-two direct reports. Reporting directly to the group Director of Finance, you will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing strategic insights to support decision-making for several brands within the group. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of accounting principles and procedures.

What You Will Do

  1. Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data, including but not limited to income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

  2. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company policies.

  3. Assist in the preparation of budget forecasts and financial projections, providing insights into potential risks and opportunities.

  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements and streamline accounting procedures.

  5. Perform variance analysis to explain discrepancies between actual financial results and budgeted/forecasted figures.

  6. Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations of accounting transactions and procedures.

  7. Monitor and interpret changes in accounting regulations and standards, ensuring compliance and implementing necessary updates.

  8. Provide leadership, guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development and growth.

  9. Assist in ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as required by senior management.

    What You Need To Bring With You

  10. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Advanced degree or certification (i.e. MBA,CPA, CMA, etc) is a plus

  11. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis, preferably within a manufacturing setting

  12. Experience in manufacturing cost accounting and inventory management is a plus

  13. Proficiency in financial accounting software (ex: JD Edwards, HFM) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (an Excel Wizard).

  14. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards; experience with SEC reporting is a plus.

  15. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw actionable insights.

  16. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and strong organizational skills.

  17. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and present findings to senior management.

  18. Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.

  19. 1-2 years in a leadership position would be a plus; however, strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to mentor and develop a small team of direct reports as a first time supervisor will be considered.
