Amazon Senior Account Manager -Enterprise Higher Education- Midwest, EDU & SLG - West in Omaha, Nebraska

Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Sales Representative to join our Higher Education Sales team, focusing on delivering cutting-edge cloud services to large higher education institutions and Academic Medical Centers. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and engaging with key decision-makers at educational, research and AMC institutions understanding their unique challenges, and crafting tailored cloud solutions that drive improvements in their business outcomes. Your mission is to establish lasting partnerships and achieve mutually beneficial results for both our company and our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and Cultivate Prospects: Identify potential customers within the higher education sector and establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders and mission owners, CIOs, and directors.

  2. Understand Customer Needs: Collaborate with customers to understand their business goals, challenges, and objectives in order to align cloud services with their unique requirements.

  3. Deliver Value Proposition: Articulate the value proposition of our cloud services, demonstrating how they directly contribute to enhanced student learning, operational efficiency, and financial savings.

  4. Customer Advocacy: Foster long-term relationships and transform satisfied clients into advocates for our services.

  5. Build Business Cases: Assist clients in building compelling business cases for adopting cloud services, including ROI analysis and cost-benefit assessments.

  6. Collaboration: Work closely with our technical and industry teams to ensure successful implementation and ongoing customer satisfaction.

  7. Reporting and Forecasting: Keep accurate records of all sales activities and provide regular sales forecasts and progress updates to the management team.

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of the higher education sector including Academic Medical Centers, research organizations, teaching hospitals and the challenges they face.

  • Self-motivated and results-driven with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experience.

  • Proven track record in sales, particularly in selling cloud services, software, professional services or technology solutions.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Kansas City, MO, USA | Omaha, NE, USA

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives experience

  • 10+ years of business development, partner development, sales or alliances management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of building profitable partner ecosystems experience

  • Experience developing detailed go to market plans
