Description

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Logistics Clerk in PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania. As a Logistics Clerk, you will be responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials within or between departments. You will also be tasked with reviewing and distributing production schedules, and compiling reports on inventory levels and cost.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to production schedule

• Review and distribute production work and shipment schedules

• Compiling reports on inventory levels, cost, and other related factors

• Examining documents, materials, and products to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformation to standards and specifications

• Recording production data including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, and quality control measures

• Requisitioning and maintaining inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands

• Analyze costs related to manufacturing, labor, and materials

• Accurately documenting and recording customer/client information

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and production

• Utilize computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel for various tasks.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

• Familiarity with logistics and shipping functions

• Experience in materials handling and knowledge of raw materials

• Ability to review and adhere to production schedules

• Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills

• Understanding of applicable laws and regulations related to logistics and manufacturing

• Familiarity with production data and ability to analyze it for quality control

• Capable of staffing and managing work orders

• Knowledge of manufacturing specifications and quality control procedures

• Ability to work in a team and maintain professional relationships with staff and clients.
