The Global Trade & Customs Compliance manager will lead and support our global trade initiatives ensuring company compliance with import and export laws and regulations. This role will lead, and support initiatives identifying opportunities to reduce costs, improve cycle times, minimize customs duties, and enhance the visibility and security of our company supply chain network.

This role will be instrumental in enhancing and streamlining our global trade processes at Dentsply Sirona. In the EU, there isn’t a license for Customs Brokerage but the candidate must have experience in trade compliance for a minimum of the three pillars – Classification, Valuation and Country of Origin.

Global Trade & Customs Compliance Manager – Venlo, Netherlands

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage HS classification updates and reclassification initiatives.

  • Subject Matter Expert on intra-and extra-EU transaction flows and financial impacts and identify duty reduction opportunities.

  • Manage Import and export compliance assessments.

  • Assist with the CTPAT similar programs (AEO-F) throughout Europe

  • Create policies, procedures, framework documents for EU Trade Regulations Create and provide training on trade compliance topics for the EU team members responsible for those tasks.

  • Collaborate with VAT, Tax/Finance and Transportation/Logistics teams globally.

  • Consistently meets Company standards, ethics, and compliance requirements.

  • Clear and effective communication with key stakeholders, which span across multiple levels, socio-geographic areas, and functional expertise.

Requirements and Qualification:

You hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field. You have a Long-term operational experience in Global Supply Chain, Logistics, Customs Compliance and Global Trade. Experience in Classification, Valuation and Country of Origin is needed in this role.

You have previously worked and gained a good understanding of the following:

  • Import Customs Brokerage experience

  • Harmonized Tariff classification expertise

  • Valuation experience

  • Country of Origin determination experience

  • Free Trade qualification experience

  • Knowledge of US / EU export control procedures

Furthermore, you have previously worked in the medical device industry or the healthcare industry and communicating by following up and managing expectations in order to resolve conflicts are your key strengths. You like to collaborate with cross functional teams on an international basis.

Your level of English, verbally as in writing is excellent (at least C1 level). Any other languages is a plus.
