Oracle Data Engineer in Philippines

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team who brings a strong background on ETL performance, troubleshooting, and optimization as well as a strong data modeling and analytical background.

We are looking for candidates that fit the following requirements:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or any related field

  • 5+ years' experience in Database Development using PL/SQL and Oracle SQL

  • Extensive experience in troubleshooting and optimizing query executions in Oracle databases.

  • Experience in doing live customer support doing performance tuning, replication and debugging

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills as the role is expected to deal with L1 support, Clients and Product Management

  • 5+ years' experience in ETL/ELT development. The candidate should demonstrate knowledge on ETL/ELT best practices such as logging, retries and dealing with large amount of data

Responsibilities

This position includes working on live production questions, issues, and optimizations for our analytics customers. The ideal candidate is expected to perform investigation and resolution on live customer issues which also includes identifying performance bottlenecks on our data pipelines. A strong database background is required as well as extensive PL\SQL experience. This data engineer will also have opportunities to work on latest Oracle technology as well as updating tech stack and migrating existing customers to this next Generation platform.
