Let’s be better together.​​​​​​Job Summary:The Healthcare Data Analyst is a critical resource in our efforts to manage health care costs, improve quality, and enhance the experience of both the member and the care team, through sophisticated analysis and communication of health care data. This position can be hybrid or fully WFH.

Pay Range $67,822.12 - $ 101,856.32 ​​​annually (depending on experience)

    Primary Functions: ​​​​

  1. Performs research and analysis of healthcare claims, enrollment, and other related data, to report on network utilization, cost structure, and/or quality.

  2. May combine and manipulate data from multiple sources.

  3. Depending on experience, reviews, writes, and/or presents healthcare utilization and cost containment reports.

  4. Manages a workload of recurring reports, focusing on quality and delivery timeliness.

  5. Identifies anomalies and troubleshoots potential problems. Updates and revises report criteria as appropriate to meet changing business conditions.

  6. Meets with internal customers to brainstorm what kind of information/report is needed for each situation.

  7. Thinks creatively about how to solve a problem or meet a specific business need, given the data available.

  8. Collaborates with the other members of the Pharmacy Analytics team to expand analytical capabilities, methods, and toolkits.

  9. Participates in user groups to share analysis tips and techniques

  10. Create and maintain project and process documentation

  11. Other duties as assigned

    Required Skills & Experience:

  12. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  13. Minimum 2 years’ experience analyzing data. Experience with health care data preferred.

  14. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  15. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  16. Experience with using data analysis and visualization tools such as SAS, SQL, PowerBI, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Tableau, or other similar applications.

  17. Ability to read, write, and modify complex SAS programs and projects preferred.

  18. Ability to read, write, and modify complex SQL statements preferred.

  19. Ability to work well under pressure and with constantly shifting priorities.

  20. Ability to project a professional image and maintain complete confidentiality.

  21. Ability to transform and integrate data from multiple tables, databases, and/or systems preferred

  22. Deep understanding of health care data sources, flow, and limitations preferred

  23. Experience with continuous quality improvement methodologies preferred

  24. Experience with software development lifecycle methodologies preferred
